The Mara Safari Club is lying at the foot of the
Aitong Hills, a 4hrs drive from Nairobi, in the Ol-Choro Oiroua
Conservation Area, which is bordering the Masai Mara.
The luxurous tented lodge is surrounded on three
sides by the Mara River, where you can see hippos and crocodiles,
monkeys swinging through the trees or any of the larger mammals
stopping at the water's edge for a drink.
Each of the 50 luxurous ensuite tents
look out over the Mara river, and all tents have their own private
river terrace, four-poster beds, mosquio nets, electricity, and
hot and cold running water. There are 5 'suites',
perfect for honeymooners, with sunken baths and at the best part
of the river bank.
The main building houses the lounge, bar and restaurant;
dining is a casual affair, with international and African infused
dishes. Barbecues are sometimes held by the poolside.
The lodge can organise candle light bush
dinners with a campfire at the bank of the river, a truely
unique experience!
Regular activities include Maasai dancing, slide
shows, talks on the Mara ecosystem and Maasai culture.
Due to its good location, there is a vast range
of wildlife experiences to enjoy:
- Game drives
- Balloon Safaris
- Bird walks
- walking and fishing safaris
- Masai dancing
- cultural village visit
