Ol Tukai Lodge is situated in the heart of the Amboseli
National Park, , which is one of East Africa’s
most fascinating wildlife and nature parks, approximately 260km south
of Nairobi. Looking at Mount Kilimanjaro and dotted with yellow barked
Acacia trees and cream slate, Ol Tukai blends perfectly into the African
savannah.
There are 80 luxury twin rooms;
almost all offer breath-taking view of Mount Kilimanjaro. The cottage
style accommodation spreads out on either side of the main lodge;
The architecture is unobtrusive with use of local materials of gum
tree, beige and cream slate and other indigenous building materials.
There are two rooms especially designed for the
disabled and ramps for wheelchairs are the norm.
The elephant bar and the pool
bar adjoining the swimming pool offer a wide range of drinks,
snacks and sweets.
There are daily speakers from the Elephant
Research Station lecturing on different wildlife issues.
There is a 24-hour telephone and
radio call services.
Ol Tukai makes an unusual and very attractive conference
venue and all visual aids and facilities are on hand.
For bird lovers, Ol Tukai's own bird walk offers
a variety of bird species.
