Peponi Hotel Lamu

Peponi Hotel is located on the island of Lamu, where there is only one car and the narrow streets of the old town are very much as they were. After a 90 minute flight from Nairobi, you will be met at Manda Island and transported by boat for 15 mins to the hotel. Peponi Hotel is set on the edge of Shela Village, 2km from Lamu Town and at the start of a stunning 13km deserted beach.

Peponi Hotel has been ‘the’ hotel on Lamu as long anyone can remember and it gets better each year. The hotel has 24 spacious superior and standard sea view rooms with high Lamu style beds, ensuite bathrooms, mosquito nets ceiling fans and personal safes. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere and is superbly run.

There is a fresh-water free-form swimming pool, situated under two Baobab Trees overlooking the ocean.

Peponis offers first class service, excellent food and endless relaxation. Small and personal, Peponis is the perfect rest after a safari or a hide away holiday from modern life.
