The Ark is built as a modern-day Noah's Ark, overlooking the Yasabara saltlick waterhole, a natural magnet for wildlife. The renowned wildlife lodge is located at the Aberdares, some 2 hrs from Nairobi.

The biblical name is reflected in its wooden structure, accessible only via a drawbridge, designed to repel animal invaders and offering simple, cabin-style accommodation on different decks.

Each room has a bedside buzzer, to wake you up (if you want!) for night-time animal alerts.
